Lifestyle Decisions

Are you healthy? Contrary to what most of us think, lack of disease does not necessarily constitute good health. Health is a personal responsibility. Why do I say that? Lifestyle decisions contribute to health and well being.

It’s no different with weight. Many people think a little weight is a way to plan for the future. They think it works like a buffer zone when you get sick. It gives you weight to lose without looking too thin. Little do they realize that the extra weight might be the very thing helping them reach the goal to get sick!

Not all that many years ago I practiced healthy (what some people call natural, holistic) eating. I had energy, felt good, and...that's what I'm lacking today. I've avoided talking about it because it takes extra work to prepare the food, and it can sometimes make eating out a little tricky.

If I weigh my lifestyle decisions putting them on a scale, I'd say I make many more that lead to poor health than I'd like to admit. It's time to bring it back into balance.
