NaNo and Eating

I'm spending my days amid a hoard of writers in a flurry of creative activity. Trying to pump out 50,000 words that mean something in 30 days is quite a challenge. I'm currently at 8,890 and falling in love with my main character as she grows and learns--or should I say as I grow and learn.

Speaking of growing. This is my third year for NaNoWriMo and so far THIS YEAR, I have not succumbed to the eat junk mentality just because it's easy and saves time for writing. I thank God for starting me on this path of eating sensibly long enough ago that it is what I do. Don't get me wrong. Yesterday I was in the snacky mood. However, my calorie count forced me to stay within the guidelines. I had popcorn and ice cream in those calories, along with fruit and healthy homemade soup.

Remember, there's no line defining right or wrong. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your eating. It's a lifestyle. Guidelines guide. Set a realistic calorie spread and stay within it.
