Procrastination and Poundage

Yep, it's me peeking around the corner here hoping you won't catch this flabby overweight body I'm lugging around. Oh, I have plenty of good excuses.

I had to finish up my manuscript for Windwalker and get it into my publisher so we can start the editing marathon.

I also participated in NaNoWriMo and finished more than 50,000 words for a work in progress called The Seventh Gate.

Add on to this my monthly column, editing business, day job, terminally ill friend, grandchildren moving away to another state...I know breathe.

Here's the thing. I'm back at my top weight. I could easily lose 20 lbs and really 30, but of course I'd be happy with 20.

It's easy to let life make us think we're too busy to take care of ourselves. When does that change? Before or after the heart attack? I vote for before.

What works for all you out there? The holidays are upon us. Let's make a plan.
