Late Night Dinner

Yesterday morning I started the day with every intention to exercise. But that writing project I've been talking about seemed to grow the more I worked on it. So guess what I did...I still took a half hour to exercise. Hurray! I did it. And I hope to walk again today.

Calorie counting needed to be flexible too, because my husband and I planned to go out to dinner following our Writer's Guild meeting. I had eaten just over 500 calories leaving me enough to eat out without worry. But, does anything go the way you plan? At 5:00 one of the other guild members let me know she wouldn't be there. I didn't think anything of it until we pulled up to the meeting and realized she usually takes another member home. Hubby and I decided we would take her home. She invited us in and we had a nice visit meeting her husband. We arrived home at 9:15 and we hadn't eaten dinner AND I'd only had 500 calories. I had to eat. It kind of bummed me out because I knew eating late would probably make me weigh heavy...but I had promised myself I'd stay between 1,000-1,200 calories each day. It's important because eating too few calories risks slowing down my metabolism causing it to burn fat slower.

What to have? I opened a can of refried beans, pulled out the small flour tortillas and cheese and we had some small burritos. My calories came in at 1,031. Because of the late dinner, this morning part of me didn't want to step on the scale. Not after the last couple of days. But I did because of you all out there. And my weight was down!

Todays weight: 134.6
