Excuses
1. I've already blown my diet today so I might as well wait until tomorow to get started.
2. I'm stressed and need comfort food. (Think about this one. Sounds like an addict doesn't it?)
3. I'm starting my diet next Monday, but until then...
What is an excuse? According to the dictionary:
1. To explain (a fault or an offense) in the hope of being forgiven or understood: He arrived late and excused his tardiness in a flimsy manner.
2. To apologize for (oneself) for an act that could cause offense: She excused herself for being late.
