Day Three - Minus Two

During a recent family visit, my sister told me she weighs herself on Fridays and Mondays. I've been on diets that don't allow you to way after day 10, for six weeks. In fact, I'v know people who throw their scales away, and others that determine whether or not they can "cheat" based on the numbers.

So what do you all think. To weigh or not to weigh? I've decided to go with my sister's idea. I weighed today. I've lost two pounds. HURRAY! I know the first few pounds come off easiest, but I don't care. I'm finally heading in the right direction.

When we base what we're doing on our goals it doesn't really matter what we weigh. The commitment is made. If the scale tells us we've lost, that's great, but not a reason to gorge or celebrate with food. If the scale tells us we've gained, it can be depressing, but it's not a reason to gorge or drown our sorrow with food.

Hang in there and keep your eyes on the finish line.

Boy aggie, can I relate. The thing I keep in mind today is that I'm heading in the right direction. At the end of my toning and stretching exercises, I'm suppose to run in place 50 steps and then hop 10 times. My stomach flopped with each stride. GROSS! Instead of focusing on that, I thought about how in the future my stomach will firm up.

So glad you joined us.
