A Way That Seems Right

As we consider healthy choices, and stare horrified at the extra tonnage clinging to our thighs, stomachs--well just hanging, don't fall for a "quick fix." I've taken the diet pill route, the fad diet route, the starving yourself route and they don't offer the lasting results provided by regularly making healthy choices.

Making right choices a day at a time, an hour at a time, and a minute at a time may not offer weight loss quite as fast as we'd like, but it makes a difference. Even if you lost 2.5 pounds this past 21 days and another 2.5 in the coming 21 days, it's 5 pounds. Remember, the real goal is to keep our eyes on things above.

This morning the old me reared its head and stirred the desire to step on the scale. I'd already had some time with the Lord, and He reminded me it's not about the scale. It's about keeping my eyes on Him and making right choices.

"The backslider in heart will have the fill of his own ways, but a good man will be satisfied with his" (Prov. 14:14)
