Another Brick in the Wall

I sit here wondering what to say. Yes, I've been busy--with good things. Not every freelancer can say they're busy. I do count it a blessing. Thursday and Friday I was feeling quite stressed as this new project I'm working on called for more time than I had to give and yet had to be done. Stress led to my eating food I didn't need, and a sore muscle in my back gave me a great excuse not to exercise.

Taking a breath here, I have to say even with missing the last two days, I've exercised more this week than I had been last month. I'm feeling fine now too, so it's time to get back at it. It kind of reminds me of when Nehemiah was trying to get the wall rebuilt. The locals tried to hurl all kinds of discouragement in his direction to stop the progress. Sometimes it slowed them down, but in the end the wall was built. For me, it's time to add another brick in the wall.

Wise choice to skip the exercise. The one thing I do have total respect for is my back, any slight problem with it and I down tools, it has the ability to truly make you suffer if you don't listen to it.

I've learned over the years to take care of my back, but as I thought about this what I did was listen to my body. If I can just learn to apply that to my eating--really listen to my body to know when it's time to eat, I'd be a lot better off.
