Training for a 5K
I've been given the okay from LoveToKnow to interview Jonathan Roche of No Excuses Workout, so that's great, but on top of that I mentioned that I was considering running a 5K...that I'd just started training. They think it might be okay for me to write an article about it! Well, that's a great way to tie my writing and my health goals together! Can you believe it. I mean does that commit me or what!?
All kinds of things going on in my life as a writer. The new cover from Pumping Your Muse is done, and I thought I'd show it here...but I have someone who contacted me and will be featuring me as a writer on their blog so I'm going to give them the privilege. When that happens, I'll let you all know.
I also heard from the publisher of Christmas Through a Child's Eyes, which comes out in late September. Paul Harvey—yes, the radio announcer we’ve listened to on the air for the past 50 years—loves the book and is endorsing it! Right on the cover!

Congrats Donna!
Your career is kicking into high-gear. I'm so happy for you. Your hard work and persistence is paying off. I love seeing how you've used that principle to create success in your life, not only in your writing career, but also in your journey to be healthier. A big thumbs up!
Hi Roberta,
The theme of "No Excuses" over at the No Excuses radio show got me back on track. I look forward to the next one on Thursday!

Donna,
Once you mention it, you are committed to it! :-D
And now you have all of the blog world cheering you on!
Go! Go! Go!
And congrats on all of your success!

I'm happy to say that today I only have to walk instead of run (if I follow my plan). I went out fishing this morning so I'm out of my routine and tempted to say I don't have time to walk...but if I hold to "No Excuses"...well then that means I'll be going for a walk.

Hmmm...I thought I commented on this post. My brain must be short-circuiting again! Anyway, congrats on your success! I really IS good news. I think it's wonderful that you are improving your health and your career at the same time.
Keep going! It's a great example to all of us.

Thanks Ravenne,
I used to exercise regularly, but while working full time and writing about 30 hours a week, I let the habit deteriorate. Freelance writing takes more time than I ever put in at a 9-5, but the reality is: that's only an excuse not to take care of myself.

Hi Sarah,
Thanks for stopping by and letting me know you enjoy the blog. Another place where I hang out is the Diet Forum at LoveToKnow. It's a great place to chat with others. You can check it out here: http://diet.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Main_Page
