Making an Appointment to Exercise
Yesterday was my first day back after the 13 hour car trip to Illinois and the 13 hour car trip back home. I felt beat up. This morning, I'm feeling much better. Funny that sitting in the car can make me feel achy and stiff. That on top of eating out for 5 days. Thinking of it that way, I guess I wouldn't feel my best. Our bodies are made to move, and we need proper fuel to function our best.
Speaking of fuel, yesterday's lunch came straight from the garden. I steamed some okra and squash. Yum! I also had the pleasure of plucking my first ripe tomato. That's the good news. The bad news is that I didn't exercise. Why is it so hard to get motivated? Once I exercise, I always feel better. It goes back to the mental aspect of it. I didn't want to exercise. I was sluggish and had a lot of work to do.
I think what I'm going to do is make an appointment to exercise. Set a time; build a routine. Maybe if it is TIME to exercise I won't put it off. I'll let you all know how that goes tomorrow.
