Good Intentions

I've returned to a whirlwind car trip to Illinois where I enjoyed a wedding and family reunion. Of course we had to take all kinds of photos and if those don't motivate me to get into shape nothing will. Before I left, I had all kinds of good intentions to eat well on the trip, but it didn't take long for my good intentions to get left behind like lost luggage.

Instead of focusing on my failure, I'm looking at my arrival home as another new start. I'm a little behind in a few writing projects, and have received a couple of new invitations to write inspirational short stories, too, so it's easy to think I don't have time to....fill in the blank. The truth is, if I don't take the time, it will never flash a neon sign that says "free time" use me for your health. It has to be part of life, just like going to sleep or planning a meal.

My garden is doing great and needs my attention too. Green beans need picking, along with squash and okra, and tomatoes are showing their first blush, so it won't be long until I taste that juicy, vitamin rich flavor. Can't wait.

I'm keeping this short today, but before I go let me remind you, "Today is day to start thinking of your health."
