Why Older Women Gain Weight

I've done some interesting reading as I research various articles I'm writing and thought I'd pass on a few of those tidbits today. For example, did you ever wonder why women tend to get thicker and wider around the middle as they get older? Well, as I read about men vs. women and weight gain, it mentioned that in general men tend to gain around the middle and women at the hips and thighs until women get older. Then as their estrogen levels decrease, they tend to start gaining weight following the male pattern. Lovely, eh? I'm going to pull out my natural yam cream and use it faithfully to see if that helps to make a difference. If any of you want more info on this product you can email me.

On a brighter note, I read a blog today about taking the stairs not only for your health, but the health of the earth for those interested in living green. You can see it at Trick Fall's Blog.

I have to confess I didn't do very well yesterday. Don't know why I was in such a funk. I'm afraid it was a bit of a tantrum as I've taken on a time consuming freelance project and I wanted to do anything BUT that yesterday. Eating fit that bill.

Today, I'm counting AND I've already walked 30 minutes PLUS I've put time in on the project. So I'm heading in the right direction. Hope you are too!

A special thank you to LilGoldWmn's (real name Stacy Braswell) for providing today's photo through Stock.xchng.com.
